Description

The ICRC carries out many tasks not based on the Conventions, of these tasks, the most important is the protection of political detainees. The first part of this article contains a brief part, the author makes a few general remarks and summarizes action taken by the ICRC in situations of internal disturbances or tensions between 1958 and 1970.
